Tonight we tried for the first time to feed Levi with a bottle. Now it's not just any bottle, it's the super cool, super stylish (super expensive) Adiri Bottle. Now the thing is, it's supposed to look, feel and otherwise mimic a booby. Ask Levi and he'll tell you he's "nobody's fool, that's not my mama!" It started off with weird milk, maybe it's the freezer, maybe it's my novice packaging, but somehow someway the milk tasted to me like green beans. I'm thinking that's not normal. So we opened other packages of milk from the freezer, less greenbeany but still not mama. So, Steve frustrated at his fruitless efforts, handed me the crying child. I took him gave him the real deal and he fell asleep.
Sigh.
I guess we'll try it again later. And I guess tomorrow will not in fact, be the first day Levi stays home with Daddy while Mama goes to school. These days pass way too quickly so in my heart of hearts I'm warm and fuzzy that he's my baby and I have the privilege of nourishing him and watching him grow. Too soon he'll be running from my arms!

From now on...
I vow to write more interesting things on my blog. Or simply write things..
Anyone out there like to save a buck or two? Check out http://www.moneysavingmom.com/ She is so sly! I find that her method of 'working the system' is helpful for the budget. Clipping coupons and reading sale pages seem to be a lifetime ago, though I was a devout follower for a few years in early marriage. "I just don't have the time for it" has been the excuse. BUT she does the work for you.. mostly.
When a store is stupid--er, I mean... wonderful enough to give you money back on certain items (which most Americans use daily), I'll take advantage of that savings for sure. So, CVS here we come.
I learned a valuable lesson today. Walmart does not accept manufacturer's coupons- apparently they don't get the reembursement. (Venders, yes- and competitor price matching- yes.) Sadly I walked away without the yummy cereal for steve (that would have cost me .49) or the two free bags of Flat Earth chips. If you haven't tried Flat Earth I highly reccomend them. Especially free ones. Yummy!
Well, on the home front...
Levi is currently sleeping soundly (Praise God) with his daddy in the bed. And I'm relieveing my strained brain by blogging a bit. I have been studying for about 3 hours. Bradycardia... preeclampsia...HELLP (that's actually a syndrome not my desperate cry)...blood pressure...edema.... proteinuria. Sounds like fun- anyone???
Well, better hit the sack. Tomorrow will be a FUN day but long. The plan: 930 pick up Gwen, hit up CVS for the new weeks sales, then head over to the super-duper-coolest-ever Goodwill and play for a few hours. The Levi and I are saying goodbye for now to daddy (he has to work this weekend) and hello to (not so) Hotlanta. We'll be picking Granna up there and staying with my sister for a visit.

The BEST Goodwill Ever
So not much is new around here. We are doing well and on the happy side of the street. Levi is a bundle of joy and laughs. This past week was Valentines Day... so I asked Steve what he wanted, knowing good and well I already had my desires all thought out. He asked for a home cooked steak dinner. So naturally I endulged my man. Steaks, garlic mashed potatoes and A1 sauce-a mans meal! I even included soda, which is a rarity at our place.
Of course I volunteered my thoughts on what I would like. No roses or chocolates... I batted my eyes and simply said $10.00. Oh and free time to play at the Goodwill. Now at most Goodwill Stores you can get a shirt and a pair of slacks for 10$ and that would be a super great deal. But if stores could be soulmates, I have found mine! This is the Goodwill Clearance Center... everything is $1 a pound! I must interject that the items that arrive here, for whatever reason, are a variety of nice, name brand clothing to wierd 80's prom dresses to decent tennis shoes and flip flops that are torn up. My first thought was it's going to be all junk, but not so!
The purchase is as follows:
for steve..
1 pair jeans
2 polo shirt
3 tee shirts
for me...
4 shirts
2 pair capris
2 pair pants
1 pair shoes
for Levi...
1 sweatshirt for next year
1 onesie
and about 10 books...
So the grand total.. since steve got in on the action .... $12.50. Yes the decimal is in the right place.

Happy Valentiens day to me!

Top three, so far!
Top Three (so far) reasons I know Levi is all boy:
1. When I am changing my sweet little son's clothes I have found there is no need to be gentle. He thinks it's fun to have his shirt pulled over his face. Any girl would tell you otherwise!
2. No matter if he has been screaming as if the world was ending, when Daddy throws Levi up in the air, all is well!
3. I thoroughly love the bouncy seat a friend passed to us. It is entertainment while mama makes dinner, does the dishes or folds laundry, etc. But apparently it's tops when I make it bounce REALLY hard, like ker-plop-your-head-back hard. He full face grins.
