Spring means Outside

In the south, unlike other places, spring ushers in all kinds of new adventures. Most of them are outside. Playing in general, including but not limited to: swords, ball tossing, backyard swings, trips to the zoo, trips to the playground, picnics, watering plants, picking weeds, walks. All are wonderful fun for a 2 year old. The almost 2 month old can take it or leave it, as long as boobies are near!

We've all enjoyed lots of outside time lately now that the pollen is a little less thick.
I have photo documentation but my camera is out of reach at the moment. I'll add them soon!

L. is growing up fast! He actually grew 2 inches in one month! He's well on his way to being potty trained. We spend lots of time in trainers these days-- diaper wearing tend to set us back. He's very active and as I mentioned loves to be outside, preferably with his Dad. Boy lives for time with Daddy. N. is growing fast too! I'll have a recent weight check coming up soon but at our last check, 4 weeks, he was almost 11 lbs. And i know he's gained since then. He's started to hold his head up for longer periods of time and enjoys watching what's going on around him more and more. He's not too fussy, a tummy sleeper and very cuddly!

Hot-Lanta

Berry Picking

We joined the throngs of pickers yesterday morning in the first day of Strawberry Picking at the local 'pick your own' farm. We met 6 other moms and all their kiddos out there for some juicy, delicious fun. L. LOVES strawberries. We recently ran out and I had been telling him about the strawberry patch, and that he can eat as many RED ones as he likes! He did.

Oh, and N. slept the whole time.

Family outing:

We spent a little bit of time at the zoo yesterday. It was N's second visit. Both were joyful but sleepy events for him. We regularly duck in and out of the zoo since we have the luxury of a membership allowing it to be our playground. Here are a few shots of the event.

April Showers Bring Family and Fishing:

We recently enjoyed having our family come visit to help us welcome Baby N. Dad and Tara only were able to stay a day and a half but we maximized our time together by staying up late and eating a lot. L. spent time with Granddad Bob learning how to fish. Funny, he only ever catches pinecones. Hmm.
